Contractor

Flint Trading is the leading supplier of preformed thermoplastic pavement markings to the government and contractor market. Contractors often perform the application of materials on public roadways on behalf of government entities as well as install our products for private property owners and managers at facilities such as shopping centers, business parks, restaurants, industrial sites, educational facilities, and apartment complexes.

Contractors like using our preformed thermoplastic pavement markings because of the simple application process and low cost of equipment. In fact, all that is required for application of PreMark® is a propane heat torch. Contractors can effectively expand their market opportunities by offering durable markings and decorative markings that complement their current marking program and minimize the time spent repainting the same markings over and over again. In addition, contractors can provide MUTCD-compliant markings as required by the new Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) ruling which clarifies that if the public travels on property that is privately owned or managed, traffic signs, pavement markings and other traffic control devices are now required to comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

Although our products have been installed by contractors on private property for many years, Flint is dedicating increased attention and creating awareness to property owners and managers about the full benefits and features of using our products on private property.

Effective January 16, 2007, the final ruling from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) clarified the following requirement: If the public travels on property that is privately owned or managed, traffic signs, pavement markings and other traffic control devices are now required to comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

CAD drawings are on hand of all our product designs. Free on-site product demonstrations are available at a time most convenient to the end-user of our materials.
